Ontrack Moving® is an asset-based carrier. We own 20+ trucks, operate two company warehouses, and employ our own full-time crews. When you book with Ontrack, the trucks and the crew are ours. Moves on our own equipment are not subcontracted to a third party, and on the rare long-haul exception where an interline carrier is scheduled we disclose it in writing before booking. All cancellation and reschedule requests must be made by speaking directly with our office during business hours. A voicemail left at 2 AM or an email sent overnight does not count as notice. We need live confirmation so we can reassign the crew and release the truck before it is too late. For residential local moves: cancel or reschedule with 72 hours notice and your deposit is refunded in full, less non-recoverable third-party card processing fees. Inside 72 hours, we will reschedule your move one time at no additional charge to a new date within 30 days, subject to crew availability because closing dates slip and leases get extended. Under 24 hours or a no-show, you are responsible for the 3-hour minimum labor charge. Because we are unable to fill a specialized crew's schedule on such short notice, our movers lose a full day of work. At that point a crew has already been assigned, a truck has been pulled from another job, and we have turned down other work for that date. Long-distance and commercial jobs involve route planning, fuel commitments, and crew scheduling across state lines, so cancellation terms are outlined in your signed proposal. Our standard residential local policy is not built on non-refundable deposits. That is broker behavior.
