Local moves are billed hourly. Long-distance moves are quoted at a binding flat rate on a per-truck basis, anchored to the inventory documented at the onsite survey. We do not charge by the pound or by the cubic foot.

No. Ontrack Moving® bills local moves on an hourly basis and long-distance moves at a binding flat rate quoted on a per-truck basis. We do not use weight-class or per-cubic-foot pricing structures. Per-pound and per-cubic-foot billing are common with broker-dispatched van-line networks and can result in surprise charges on move day when the truck is weighed. Ontrack pricing is anchored to the inventory and access conditions documented during the onsite survey, not to a weight reading at delivery.
Ontrack Moving® quotes long-distance moves on a per-truck basis. Each of our 26-foot trucks has a 26,000-pound GVW capacity. When the inventory documented at the onsite survey approaches that capacity, we quote a second truck in the original proposal rather than discover the issue on move day. Customers receive a written quote covering all trucks required to complete the move in one trip, with the binding flat-rate price tied to that truck count.

Three flights of stairs, zero scratches
Eduardo and his team were absolutely amazing! They moved everything from our old house to our new place, which included carrying everything up three flights of stairs, without a single scratch or broken item. They were careful, efficient, and incredibly professional the entire time. They also took apart several pieces of furniture and reassembled them perfectly in our new home, which saved us so much time.
HOA-friendly crew, no scuffs or dents
Crew: Eduardo, Mauricio, and Richard. They did a great job and I think the HOA will be pleased as well as they did not leave any scuffs or dents in their move and parked the large truck as instructed and out of the way of residents coming and going. Having the energetic crew help with this move was definitely worth the expense, a good value and communication was smooth. Would hire again! Also shout out to Alexia at the office who was prompt with reassuring replies.

A great company to work with
UPDATE 9/23 We had Mauricio and his crew back today to help finalize our move. When we initially moved, we intentionally left our garage out.. they made quick work of the job and were wonderfully helpful. All the rest stands regarding customer service and communication. On track is a great company to work with! We’ve had a great experience every time Cesar and his crew worked with us over two half days - the first day they arrived promptly and got right to work. It was absolutely amazing how quickly and also carefully they packed up all our belongings. The second day they again arrived promptly and quickly moved us from our rental into our forever home.
Great experience from start to finish
We had a great experience from start to finish. We were quoted an accurate estimate from the beginning. Carmina and Diana were curteous and accomodating in scheduling. James came to our home and took detailed account of what to expect. All of our belongings were stored in our garage and a nearby storage facility. The movers packed everything carefully and followed instructions regarding what was staying and what was going to the storage unit. We were unexpectedly out of our home while repairs were completed for over two months. On Track was able to send a crew on short notice to move everything back to our home. I can't remember everyone's name, but all four men were such hard workers.
Our family's relocation from Oakland
I recently hired OnTrack Moving for our family’s relocation from Oakland to a storage unit in Santa Barbara, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service we received. Mauricio and Victor handled our two-day move with exceptional professionalism and care. Both Mauricio and Victor as well as their Oakland crew, were incredibly polite and respectful throughout the entire process. They communicated clearly about timing, logistics, and any questions that arose during the move. Every item, from our fragile dishes to heavy furniture and baby’s toys, was treated with the utmost care. They took time to properly wrap and protect our belongings.
Burlingame to Washington
Ontrack Moving was fantastic. Paul came out to survey our storage locker and apartment and provided a fair bid for a move from Burlingame, CA to Oak Harbor, WA. He was able to meet our timeline for scheduling the load in and the big, two day drive up north. On the load in day, four Ontrack guys came and took care of the storage locker in short order followed by clearing out the apartment. They were mindful of keeping under their gross weight, so unfortunately they had to leave about 1000 lbs of stuff behind. Then two movers - Nelson and Carlos (not three, as originally expected) made their way 880 miles north to our new house.
These guys were PHENOMENAL
We had the absolute pleasure of Gabriel plus Jair and Riki join us on Saturday to help with our move. These guys were PHENOMENAL!! Honestly, some of the best money you'll ever spend is getting professional help for moving. Moving house SUCKS and it's so hard, the team were with us bright and early on Saturday morning and in 5 hours they had cleared out our house and most of our garage and got it all packed into our moving pods. Up and down stairs with heavy furniture: we simply would not have been able to get this done by ourselves, and certainly not in the time it took them.

Gabriel and Alex were AMAZING
Both Gabriel and Alex with OnTrack Moving (peoria) were AMAZING! They came to move furniture from storage in Scottsdale, to our already crowded house in Peoria. Our family member who was coordinating the moving day had a ton of specific requests, and they met every single one. They dealt with all our of animals (two barky dogs, a ton of cats), they took out our old mattress and box spring, dresser etc. They were SO patient with me while I tried to find a place for everything, around a bunch, and they helped me probably more than they normally would, because my husband is newly handicapped.
Exceptional moving crew
I hired OnTrack (Peoria AZ) to move a charity’s items from a storage unit at one company to another company’s (cheaper, bigger) nearby unit to avoid an imminent rate increase the charity couldn't afford. The contracting process was quick, and (for me) painless. The rate was below those of other local companies and the moving crew (Dave and Pedro) was truly exceptional: on time, friendly, careful, thorough and. amazingly. fast and efficient because they were conscious that the work was being done for a charity that serves kids with special needs. The move was completed faster than scheduled. Everything was restacked exactly as I requested.
