High-Value Equipment, Office Contents and Building Access

Ontrack Moving® completed a robotics, lab and office relocation from San Francisco to Emeryville. The work included moving high-value robots, coordinating the SFMTA parking-permit request, working with freight-elevator access and disassembling and reassembling privacy phone booths.

Planning Around Different Types of Equipment

This move brought together robotic equipment, sensitive measuring equipment, tools, parts, lab benches, assembly-area contents and the office furniture and electronics used alongside them. Those items needed different preparation before they could be loaded.

The plan divided the work into two phases. Factory, storage-room and assembly areas were grouped in one phase; general office, kitchen and conference-room areas were grouped in the other. Preparation and transport were planned separately, with privacy-booth reassembly included in the scope.

Robotic Equipment: Antistatic Wrapping and Robot Carts

Ontrack relocated the high-value robots. The preparation plan separated the customer's robotic-arm dismounting and cage disassembly from Ontrack's physical handling and transport.

We used antistatic wrapping for the robots' sensitive electronics and relocated the robots using Ontrack-owned robot carts. The painted or anodized aluminum framing was wrapped and padded to reduce the risk of scratches. The handling plan called for panel carts to move the cage-tower components.

SFMTA Parking Coordination and the Freight Elevator

At the San Francisco origin, the work included the SFMTA parking-permit request and coordination. The building's freight elevator was another part of the loading plan, connecting the upstairs workspace with the loading area.

The access plan accounted for elevator travel time and planned loads per trip when setting out the staging and loading work. The destination was a ground-floor space in Emeryville.

Privacy Phone-Booth Disassembly and Reassembly

Ontrack disassembled and reassembled the privacy phone booths as part of the move. The preparation plan included soft crating the glass, along with packing monitors and other office electronics for transport.

The completed relocation covered both the high-value robotic assets and the office around them. Parking coordination, freight-elevator access and booth work were part of that broader scope, alongside the equipment transport.
