How do you move a -80C ULT freezer in Santa Clara?
As of June 2026, Ontrack Moving® moves -80C ultra-low (ULT) freezers for Santa Clara labs by powering the unit down, transporting it upright, and allowing a 4 to 12 hour settle and stabilization window before reconnecting at the new site. Crews coordinate the power-down and re-power timing with your facilities team and document handling throughout, operating under USDOT #2551548 with a 0% Federal Out-of-Service Rate.
How do you move a biosafety cabinet (BSC) in Santa Clara?
As of June 2026, Ontrack Moving® relocates biosafety cabinets for Santa Clara labs that typically weigh 600 to 1,200 lb, coordinating surface and gaseous decontamination plus NSF/ANSI 49 recertification by a certified vendor before the cabinet returns to service. Crews use documented handling procedures, custom crating, and air-ride transport, backed by a $10,000,000 Combined Protection Tower for building and property liability and standard $0.60/lb cargo liability per article.
Why Santa Clara research facilities choose us
Semiconductor R&D Equipment Is Not Office Furniture
Santa Clara hosts some of the most advanced semiconductor and materials science labs in the world. Intel's research campus, Applied Materials R&D, Agilent Technologies, and NVIDIA's research facilities all rely on precision instruments that require specialized handling. A standard moving crew does not understand the difference between a wafer inspection tool and a filing cabinet. Ours does. As a trusted Bay Area & Phoenix mover, we bring lab-specific protocols to every research facility move.
Semiconductor Lab Expertise
Characterization tools, probe stations, and analytical instruments are inventoried, custom-crated, and transported with vibration dampening. We coordinate with your facilities team for cleanroom-adjacent logistics.
Precision Instrument Handling
Spectrometers, electron microscopes, and calibration-sensitive equipment receive anti-vibration packaging, level transport, and documented handling tracking from decommission to reinstallation.
University Lab Coordination
Santa Clara University science labs, research departments, and campus facilities require coordination with institutional property management, elevator scheduling, and academic calendars.

Santa Clara Laboratory Moving FAQs
We begin with a pre-move site survey to document every instrument, its calibration status, and manufacturer handling requirements. Semiconductor tools receive custom crating with vibration-dampening foam, anti-static wrapping, and level transport. Our crews coordinate with your facilities team for power disconnection and cleanroom-adjacent logistics at both the origin and destination locations.
We offer phased lab relocations that allow portions of your facility to remain operational while other sections are moved. Weekend and after-hours scheduling is available for minimal disruption. Each phase is planned with your research team to prioritize equipment sequence and minimize downtime for active experiments or production workflows.
We coordinate with licensed hazmat carriers for the transport of hazardous materials. We do not directly transport hazardous materials. Our team handles all non-hazardous lab equipment, furniture, instruments, and infrastructure. We work with your EHS team to coordinate proper sequencing so hazmat transport aligns with the overall move schedule.

COI handled quickly for office move
We had a great experience with On Track Moving. From the start, they were quick with providing us a quote and COI for our office move. A special thanks to Paul who answered the dozens of questions we had. He's been incredibly diligent and helpful from throughout. And Carmina who scheduled the move and parking permits. Also, the amazing crew we had over the weekend, Hugoa and his team! When we ran into issues with our furniture layout, On Track was quick to solve them, worked beyond their hours, and made sure we were happy with the final setup.

Seven years of reliable service
Over the past 7 years, we've moved twice locally and used the storage vaults with OnTrack. Every single time I've called, made appointments or asked for info, every person I spoke with has been professional, knowledgeable and communicative. Sam handled both moves. The first move, my partner and I consolidated 2 houses and moved into a new one. Sam was patient as I asked questions; he was transparent with pricing, move logistics and communications.

HOA-compliant move with careful crew
Crew: Eduardo, Mauricio, and Richard. They did a great job and I think the HOA will be pleased as well as they did not leave any scuffs or dents in their move and parked the large truck as instructed and out of the way of residents coming and going. I did not make it easy as I had certain items that needed to stay for me to sort through, and none of these items ended up in the destination storage unit.
