Is the AI estimate my final price?
No. The AI creates a preliminary inventory draft, not a final price. You review the inventory, then an Ontrack estimator prepares your quote. Final charges may change based on actual labor time, materials, access conditions, scope changes, and items not shown in the video.
Do I have to write down every item?
No. That is the point of the video estimator. Upload a walkthrough video, and the AI-assisted tool prepares a room-by-room inventory draft for you to review.
Do I need an in-home appointment?
No in-home appointment is required to get started. You can upload your walkthrough video on your own time, and our estimating team will review the details.
Can I review or change the inventory?
Yes. After the AI-assisted draft is created, you can mark items as not going, delete incorrect items, edit item names or quantities, and add missing items before submitting the reviewed inventory.
How long should the walkthrough video be?
For a typical home, 3 to 8 minutes is usually enough. Larger homes take longer. Film slowly and steadily rather than rushing through rooms.
What if I film something I am not taking with me?
Just say so out loud while you film, or mark it as Not going during your inventory review. Items flagged as not going are excluded from your moving total.
Can I upload more than one video?
Yes. Multiple videos and photos are welcome. Filming room by room is fine if that is easier for you.
Is my video private?
Yes. Your video is used to prepare your moving estimate, review your inventory with the Ontrack Moving team, and improve the accuracy of our estimating tools. We do not attach videos to emails, make them public, or provide them to third parties to train their own models. Uploaded videos are stored securely and automatically removed after 6 months.
How soon will I hear back?
An Ontrack estimator will reach out to confirm your details, usually within one business day.
