The Ontrack advantage
Tech Corridor: Phoenix to Dallas
Dallas is the fourth-largest metro in the United States and a major hub for technology, finance, telecommunications, and corporate headquarters. Whether you are making a residential move to Frisco's booming master-planned communities, relocating for Texas Instruments, AT&T, or Toyota in Plano, or joining a team at Southwest Airlines in Dallas, we handle the logistics of the 1,065-mile I-10/I-20 corridor so you can focus on the transition.
Unlike brokers who sell your job to the lowest bidder, we own the trucks and employ the crews. As a dedicated long-distance moving carrier, the same team that packs your home in Chandler is the team that places furniture in your Highland Park living room. One company. One truck. One point of accountability.
Direct Carrier, Not a Broker
Our trucks, our crews, your belongings. No hand-offs to unknown subcontractors. The team that loads your home in Phoenix is the team that unloads in Dallas.
Flat-Rate Pricing
Your estimate is based on a detailed inventory, not hourly billing or weight. No fuel surcharges, no stair fees hidden in the fine print. The price on the estimate is the price you pay.
Climate-Controlled Storage
Our Peoria warehouse offers climate-controlled storage if your move-out and move-in dates do not align. Store your items in climate-controlled conditions while you wait for your Dallas closing date.

Unique to this route
West Texas Corridor Protocol: 600 Miles of Open Road
The Phoenix to Dallas corridor includes over 600 miles of West Texas between El Paso and Fort Worth, one of the most remote stretches of interstate highway in the continental United States. The Permian Basin oil fields generate heavy truck traffic with oversized loads on I-20. Wind shear through the flatlands can gust to 60+ mph without warning. Van Horn, the last reliable truck stop heading east, sits 150 miles before the next major fueling infrastructure. This is not a casual interstate drive. It requires planning, fuel management, and a crew that knows the corridor.
Our drivers have logged thousands of miles on the I-10/I-20 corridor. Every waypoint from Tucson to Fort Worth is mapped, fuel stops are pre-planned, and the three time zone crossings (Arizona MST, New Mexico MST with DST, Texas CST with DST) are accounted for in every delivery window.
Permian Basin Wind Management
I-20 through the Permian Basin is known for sudden wind shear from oil field operations and flat terrain. Our drivers maintain reduced speeds through the Monahans Sandhills section and monitor weather conditions in real-time. High-profile loads receive additional securing through this corridor.
Fuel and Rest Planning
Van Horn is the last major truck stop before a 150-mile stretch of minimal services. Our trucks depart El Paso fully fueled with pre-planned rest stops that comply with DOT hours-of-service requirements. The route is broken into manageable segments: Phoenix to Tucson (115 mi), Tucson to El Paso (265 mi), El Paso to Van Horn (120 mi), Van Horn to Fort Worth (400+ mi).
Three Time Zone Navigation
Arizona does not observe daylight saving time, creating a scheduling puzzle for moves between Phoenix and Dallas. Your move coordinator handles all time zone math so your delivery window is communicated in Dallas time (CST/CDT). No confusion, no missed windows.
Key Waypoints on the I-10/I-20 Corridor
- Tucson, AZ - fuel stop, I-10 junction
- Las Cruces, NM - state line checkpoint
- El Paso, TX - I-10/I-20 transition point
- Van Horn, TX - last major fuel stop
- Midland-Odessa, TX - Permian Basin
- Abilene, TX - midpoint rest
- Fort Worth, TX - I-20/I-30 junction
- Dallas, TX - destination

Phenomenal help with an out-of-state move
We had the absolute pleasure of Gabriel plus Jair and Riki join us on Saturday to help with our move. These guys were PHENOMENAL... Moving house is so hard, the team were with us bright and early on Saturday morning and in 5 hours they had cleared out our house and most of our garage and got it all packed into our moving pods. Up and down stairs with heavy furniture: we simply would not have been able to get this done by ourselves. On top of that, they were all super friendly and nice... We are moving out of state so we won't have a chance to use them again.

Professional handling of a multi-stop move
I had a small, but difficult move to do with two stops needed between storage and the new place... The crew that came were amazingly professional. They met with me, did a walkthrough to designate what was going to which location. Packed it all up properly and even showed me how they pack trickier items that no longer had their boxes... Both instances of unloading was smooth, gentle, and without issue. They even helped me reorganize my storage unit so everything fit better with the new furniture.

Accurate estimate and careful crew
We had a great experience from start to finish. We were quoted an accurate estimate from the beginning... The movers packed everything carefully and followed instructions regarding what was staying and what was going to the storage unit. We were unexpectedly out of our home while repairs were completed for over two months. On Track was able to send a crew on short notice to move everything back to our home... None of our belongings were damaged in the move. We did not go over the estimated cost for the move.

The 600-mile stretch of I-20 between El Paso and Fort Worth passes through some of the most remote terrain in the country. Van Horn is the last reliable truck stop before a 150-mile stretch through the Permian Basin. Our trucks depart Peoria fully fueled and inspected, and drivers know every waypoint along this corridor. Fuel planning, wind shear awareness through the Permian Basin oil fields, and three time zone crossings are all factored into route preparation.
